Shivaji exhibition eyes Guinness entry…

A unique exhibition, which brings alive around 250 forts captured by King Shivaji from the Mughals in the 16th century, has been thrown open in Pune… The organisers RajaShivaji.Com said the `Guinness Book of World Records’ will be taking note of the event as it has surpassed all earlier photo exhibitions in respect of the pictures put on display.

By the way, it has nothing to do with the current public rage from the stable of another Shivaji (Rao Gaekwad), the southern emperor – Rajnikanth’s ‘Sivaji: The boss‘!

A little wonder named Connie…

How old is she? only SIX years, and she has created a storm on the merit of her incredible performance in the Talent-hunt contest. i was literally in tears watching her singing before a huge crowd. Simon, the Shark, too was melted and dropped his jaws after this sweet little thing stunned the audience with her power packed voice. See for yourself, and i promise, there may be a drop of tear too in your eyes…

and this reminded me of our own little star Abhrakanti, who blew up the audience in Zee Saregamapa contest a year ago…

Youtube’s first full-length legal movie

Foureyedmonsters‘ is the first full-length legal feature film to be uploaded on YouTube! Arin Crumley & Susan Buice, from NewYork city, who created the film wrote on their Vlog..

Our project started small, just the two of writing each other notes and sending each other videos. Then it evolved into us creating a feature length film about our story. Then we extended the story in the form of online episodes we’ve posted here on our youtube page. Next we plan to post more episodes and hope to eventually make another larger project.

(Thanks Arin and Susan) i thoroughly enjoyed this work. i hope you (readers) too will like it…

When books dripped blood: Virginia horror

A black day. the feedreader on my screen flashed the upcoming news at the bottom-corner, which i otherwise ignore; for some reasons my eyes fell upon and had them frozen for a while in a muted shock. An unknown assailant had gone on a rampage at Virginia Tech campus. and the news spread like an wild-fire on the internet; so much so that there’s already a long article up on Wikipedia giving a scene by scene account of the massacre. how quick, i thought. somewhere inside i cringed, having heard the gunshots that were fired thousands of miles away while i was sleeping peacefully, just a few hours ago. the footage is below…My condolence to the families who lost their dear ones. may god rest thy souls in peace.

now, a dead saddam..the new clip on the net

a small video clip emerged today on an iraqi website that showed saddam’s dead body after hanging. it is so awkwardly twisted that you would wonder if that was a evildead scene. the men trolleying the body appeared to be so excited that one couldnt stop pulling the cover and shot with his cell phone as if that’s something of a prized possession – as if a dead saddam signing his last autograph. bastards! the sad part is that such scenario had made this SOB a kind of a martyr…

The video link is here..

A lifeless pune – struggling with violence

Situation is real bad in Pune due to the rampage by protesting crowds over the ambedkar issue. Roads are deserted, shops closed, no public transport and heavy police patrolling mark the scene here. Offices are declaring early closures; some made arrangements to drop employees at home as there is virtually nothing on road.

Wondering where we are heading. The ‘unity’ in diversity tag is falling apart for the resurging India. For almost everything, we are talking in keywords like dalits, tribals, minorities, reservations etc. The cracks are so open now. We are falling apart. It’s not far ahead when we may see a violent civil war. The external enemies will be pleased, for their objectives are shaping like being achievable. We are our own nemesis. May be it’s time to rethink about the Indian diasporas – the reforms are much too confined within the economical zones. The tidal waves of change aren’t making any impact outside a small group of people. The misbalance, perhaps, is bigger now than it was ever.

these incidents are not odd pieces – the root is somewhere more deeper than we think.
