India – a victim of terror

that day my friend kaushik wrote us a mail from US after the recent blasts.. boy i couldnt agree more with his view abt the double standards of the western world when it comes to india’s suffering at the hands of pak promoted TERRORISM.. here is the view of kaushik..

“Its good to know that all our friends are safe and sound. Its a sad thing that happened. But one thing bothers me..

When the London blasts happened, the western media was “horrified at the dastardly act”. But when the same thing happens to India, the western world is “sympathetic” at its best. Now this dual standard is not new. But I think we need to take care of it ourselves. And somebody to learn this from is Pakistan. I don’t know how they do it, but somehow in the world arena, they have managed to put their point across much better than India has. India is always playing ‘catch-up’ with Pakistan in the Press relations department. And that is something that bothers me.

Maybe we are more confident in our abilities that we don’t think we have to resort to underhand tactics and ‘show sha’ that pakistan indulges in. But you know what – I think soemtimes that is required. Words can sometimes mean more than actions. Its because of words that a dumb twit like Bush convinced the world that Iraq was a threat to the world and could then occupy it…”
